We use the same care during a preliminary but as well important: the pre-compliance test that, performed in specific laboratories, give the designer a precise indication about the project direction.
We recommend to always perform such pre-compliance test while the project is still in a phase where applying changes is not critical yet.

WIRELESS FIRE DETECTION
Design and realization of a wireless fire detection system including detection and alarm devices.
The client’s cutting-edge product is a low-power wireless fire detection line for civil purpose. The project included the following steps to maintain most of the existing line and integrate it with new parts:
- Existing products renewal overcoming the critical components obsolescence
- Products redesign using modern platforms compliant with existing technologies and protocols
- New generation line complete design: concept, protocols and entire products
The new line design and development included:
- Requirements analysis (working range, batteries duration, standards and regulations, etc.)
- System design (communication protocol, hardware components selection, etc.)
- Proof-of-concept prototypes realization to demonstrate critical aspects (devices synchronization, power consumption requirements, etc.)
- Final firmware development for all the different devices
A deep and accurate initial design phase allowed the early individuation of system’s critical parameters and the early analysis of different working parameters, carrying the design to a result even higher than the initial expectations and ensuring the time-constraints respect.

Design of monitoring and reporting applications interfaced with industrial Access Control systems.
The client’s business is the Building Automation – Access Control and realizes huge installations of an Access Control management software.
But some of its clients require specific customizations… here is where we join the game.
The application we made (and keep updating) included the analysis of the database and of the access/communication interfaces with the main system, the development of a management and monitoring web application and the specific reports generation.

INDUSTRIAL MEASUREMENT APPLICATION
Application redesign for professional weighing and measurement solutions based on embedded Linux.
Retel is a company specialized in providing professional weighing and measuring solutions. One of the flagship products is an industrial measurement system installed in different configurations, with different peripherals and which can be integrated in various ways with the final operating environment. In order to provide innovative solutions, it was necessary to redesign this product with more modern technologies.
Thanks to an open and stimulating communication with the company’s staff, we have collected many useful elements to capitalize on the years of experience built in the field. From here we started to design a flexible, highly customizable system that offered the possibility of gradually implementing new features, developing a base that can be quickly used on the market.
Through the close collaboration that has lasted for years we can continuously integrate new features and proudly contribute to the continuous product evolution that makes Retel one of the reference points in its market.

CAN BUS LIBRARY DEVELOPMENT

Transfluid manufactures clutches, transmissions and other components for the industrial, naval and terrestrial transmission sector.
It was necessary to prepare a product, based on microcontroller and with proprietary firmware developed by the internal team, for communication on a standard protocol on CAN bus.
Together we carried out the protocol analysis and defined the library interface.
The development was then carried out independently, thus allowing the internal team of the company to focus on the necessary changes to the firmware.
Compliance with good design and development practices and good documentation made it necessary only a short phase of alignment and verification to integrate the library and add this functionality to the final product.

ARTIFICIAL VISION SYSTEM
Creation of a PC application to check the brightness levels of the backlit panels.
Pariani s.r.l. deals with information display systems, mainly for aerospace and naval applications.
For the helicopter sector, it produces a sophisticated series of backlit panels with LED luminous inscriptions, the brightness levels of which must be checked carefully.
After a careful market investigation, a product capable of fully satisfying the requirements was not identified and it was necessary to create ad hoc software.
Working closely, from the drafting of the requirements to the commissioning, it was possible to identify the right hardware and quickly develop a “100% tailor made” application capable of exceeding expectations so much that during commissioning, the customer has identified new potentials that are currently under study.
